This fountain transmits a rough beauty in return to archaic and elemental symbols thanks to its schematic pattern which is lineal and simple.
It has octagonal shape, its cuts on the stone will remind us of a prehistory or a primitive culture that still has not evolved. A graphic percussion inspired by the Atlantic style petroglyphs, being those Galician one of the most genuine representations of our prehistoric art. It has a symbolic meaning and most of them are carved outdoors. They are quite common in the synthetic art: abstract, geometric or figurative shapes.
Needlessly to say, the aesthetic expression of the piece will depend on the range of the tools employed because each of this materials offer different qualities of hardness, compactness and impenetrability. The touch is the natural direction of the aesthetic interpretation of the sculpture, the treatment made by the sculptor on the external surfaces will also be significant.
